Do you mount over a working fireplace? I've been told it voids the TV warranty.+
Yes - we mount over fireplaces regularly in Upper Mission. The warranty concern is real if the mounting position puts the bottom of the TV inside the heat plume. We check mantel depth, measure ambient temperature at the proposed mount spot during fireplace use, and if it's over 35°C up there we shift the mount higher or recommend a recess-and-deflector approach. The $0-$80 fireplace mounting add-on covers the heat check + repositioning.
We have a Sonos / matrix-AV setup. Can you handle that or do I need an AV specialist?+
Basic Sonos rack tidy, soundbar mounts, and cable cleanup are in our wheelhouse. Matrix-AV systems (multi-zone HDMI distribution, Control4, custom Crestron) are AV-specialist territory - we'll mount the TV but won't touch the matrix programming. If you're not sure, send us a photo of the rack and we'll tell you before booking.
We're listed as a short-term rental. Can you sign off on compliance for City of Kelowna inspections?+
We deliver a written compliance log (smoke alarms, CO detectors, extinguisher tags, pool/hot-tub safety equipment, fence + gate, drain covers) signed and dated. That covers the items Kelowna inspectors check. The log is yours to hand directly to the inspector - we don't 'sign off' as an authority because that's the city's role, but we document everything they need to see.
